General, Oneida County, New York, United States
The site is the former Waterbury Mill, which manufactured felts for papermaking since the 1870s. Henry Waterbury purchased the mill, formerly a woolen mill, in 1878. The building has an associated paved driveway, parking lot, and yard area. The site is currently vacant and partially collapsed due to a roof issue in February 2018. EDGE is working with the property owner to complete Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments and remediation planning. This includes civic engagement and revitalization planning.
